| ||Film: Pixote|
This is the life of Pixote, a young rascal in the streets of São Paulo. He quickly becomes acquainted with a harsh world reality filled with crime, prostitution and drugs.
After one of the many raids in his neighborhood, Pixote ends up in a disciplinary house, where children are hardened by things they only half understand. Once free, he resumes the life that is known to him, namely: pickpocketing, dealing drugs, pimping and rob customers. He is, as are many others, "fathered by strangers, abandoned by their mothers, thrown away by society," as Roger Ebert once wrote.
Portuguese spoken, English subtitles.

| ||Film: They Shall Not Grow Old|
Pioneering documentary by Peter Jackson (The Lord Of The Rings) made on the occasion of the centennial commemoration of the end of the First World War.
When Peter Jackson was asked by the Imperial War Museum to compile a documentary based on their enormous archive, he took the bait. His approach was revolutionary: with the help of a large team and the latest digital techniques, film images of the First World War were restored and provided with color and sound.
The result is not only visually impressive, but also a touching tribute to the naïve, sweet and often exceptionally young British boys who took part in the war. Thanks to this exceptional documentary, they will never grow old.
English spoken, Dutch subtitles.

| ||Music: Danny Vera - Pressure Makes Diamonds|
Singer-songwriter Danny Vera is going for musical extravaganza in his latest concert. On his last theatre tour, The Lone Stranger, he played his songs using just one guitar. That’s all changed this time. With Pressure Makes Diamonds, not only is the band back, but Vera has added a horn section and string ensemble that will remind you of the orchestras of yesteryear. The Middelburg singer-songwriter, best known for his distinctive Americana sound, was born in 1977 and has been writing songs about life, love and death since his teens.

| ||Dance: Michèle Anne De Mey - Amor|
As a result of thermal shock during a winter tour in Canada, dancer and choreographer Michèle Anne De Mey suddenly ends up in a coma from which she only will awake after a while. In Amor, she relives that near- death experience and the overwhelming love she feels from her close ones in a magical vision of light and warmth. A performance for those who love the incredible. For those who believe in more between here and the afterlife. And for those who believe in the power of love or who want to be converted.

| ||Music: Matthäus-Passion|
In early 2018, Jos van Veldhoven moved on from being the artistic leader of the Dutch Bach Society, which naturally doesn’t necessarily mean that he has banished Bach from his life. It is with pride and joy that we welcome him at the South Netherlands Philharmonic to conduct his first St Mathew Passion after his valediction. This will be a St Matthew Passion in which the love for and experience with Bach’s music, honed over decades, are the key pillars. A performance in which beloved arias like Aus der Liebe and Erbarme dich sound more pure and sincere than ever. The soloists, featuring Rosanne van Sandwijck and Johanette Zomer among others, are also of the highest class.

| ||Music: Hannah Williams & The Affirmations|
Hannah Williams and the Affirmations are the current darlings of the worldwide Soul scene. Having been sampled by Jay Z on the Grammy nominated song 4:44, they were catapulted around the globe. This led them to work with Tyler The Creator, Guy Chambers and Pete Rock, to name a few. They’ve been personally championed by Huey Morgan and the late, great masters Sharon Jones and Charles Bradley.
