| ||The Birth of a Nation|
Nat Turner, a former slave in America, leads a liberation movement in Virginia in 1831 to free African-Americans. It results in a violent retaliation from whites. Winner of the Grand Jury Prize and the Audience Award at Sundance 2016.
When a little slave boy, Nathaniel 'Nat' Turner, was taken to meet the Elders in the deep woods of 1800's Southampton County, Virginia, it was determined he would be a prophet. It became evident that the unusually intelligent boy would become able to read, so he was encouraged to study the Holy Bible and be a preacher to his fellow slaves. But when Nat's master decides to profit from his preaching skills by putting him on an inter-county preaching tour, Nat begins to see the full contours of slavery and is moved to become a different kind of leader.

| ||Sun Ra Arkestra | World Top Concerten|
Led by Marshal Allen (92), the legendary Sun Ra Arkestra has now been orbiting planet earth for six decades, at the forefront of space-jazz exploration. Dressed head to toe in afro-futuristic robes, the Arkestra is a travelling, ever changing, cosmic ensemble. Formed by Sun Ra (visionary pianist, composer, writer, mystic, artist and alleged inhabitant of Saturn), the band’s music is a kaleidoscopic mix of African rhythms, avant-garde jazz, classic swing, modern electronics and Egyptian cosmology. The result has been described as “a New Orleans funeral from outer space,” that has to be experienced to be believed.

| ||69 Positions (Nederlandse première)|
This guided tour through an archive of sexual performances serves as a filter for Mette Ingvartsen to explore unresolved issues about sexuality in contemporary practices today. 69 positions leads visitors through a space with performances, books, films, texts and images brought alive through movement and speech in order to experience the connection between the intimate sphere and public space. With this solo, the Danish choreographer Mette Ingvartsen starts a new cycle of work, placing sexuality, the relationship between the politics of the body and structures of society in focus.

| ||Trench Sessions: Mountain Bike|
This four-piece, hailing from Brussels, have just released a new single ‘This Lonely Place’. Comparisons to the likes of Ty Segall, Mac DeMarco, Car Seat Headrest & King Gizzard & The Wizard Lizard have been made, and whilst they are all valid, there is a certain late 90s Blur and early noughties Graham Coxon (solo work) vibe too. Nevertheless, this is super catchy, infectious and addictive. Mountain Bike have found that sweet spot between pop and indie.”
